"Israel Kazakhstan" Chamber of Commerce Offers Cooperation in Agricultural Development and Water Resource Management: Meeting with Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, A. Smailov

An important event in the global economy occurred today, on September 27, 2023, as representatives of the "Israel Kazakhstan" Chamber of Commerce, under the leadership of Chairman Michael Roee, conducted an official visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan. The visit was organized with the aim of strengthening and developing cooperation between the two countries in the fields of agriculture and water resource management.

The central event of the visit was a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, A. Smailov. During the meeting, Chairman of the "Israel Kazakhstan" Chamber of Commerce, Michael Roé, presented a wide range of opportunities for the development of Kazakhstan's agro-industrial complex, utilizing the experience and advanced technologies of Israel.

Key topics discussed during the meeting included enhancing the efficiency of agriculture, including irrigation, water conservation, drip irrigation, agronomy, as well as innovative approaches in animal husbandry, milk production, and poultry farming.

Michael Roee also proposed an exchange of experiences between the two countries and invited representatives of the Republic of Kazakhstan to visit Israel for a deeper exploration of their experience and best practices.

The parties also discussed the possibility of cooperation in the field of agrotechnology and water resource management, which is of particular importance in light of the Message of the Head of State of Kazakhstan regarding the development of agriculture.

Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, A. Smailov, emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation with Israel and expressed interest in Israel's outstanding achievements in the field of agriculture.

"We are open to using Israeli technologies to improve agriculture in Kazakhstan, especially in the areas of irrigation and water conservation, which are highly relevant to us," noted Prime Minister Smailov.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to organize an exchange of experiences and joint work on all the issues discussed, which will contribute to further development and improvement of Kazakhstan's agriculture.

The meeting was also attended by Sаnzhаr Arynbayev, a representative of the "Israel-Kazakhstan" Chamber of Commerce, Nurzhan Nurzhigitov, Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Aidarbek Saparov, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
