Astana Economic Forum, Kazakhstan – Chairman of the Israel-Kazakhstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Michael Roee, was an honored speaker at the Astana International Forum, where he discussed the potential for agricultural development in Kazakhstan, drawing on Israel's experience.

Mr. Roee underscored the future global challenge of water scarcity, a situation that could also arise in Kazakhstan. He advocated for the adoption of Israel's micro-solutions for water collection, along with strategies that could increase the country's irrigated fields by 30%.

Reflecting on his two-decade-long journey in Kazakhstan, Mr. Roee expressed his deep affection for the country. "After 20 years of traveling around the country, I have fallen in love with Kazakhstan because of its potential. It's the only place in the world where the land has not yet been exploited. Let's feed the world from Kazakhstan," he proposed.

Mr. Roee wishes to express his gratitude to the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Israel for organizing such a large-scale forum. The collaboration between the two countries, as highlighted by the forum, demonstrates the potential for further growth and mutual benefit in the agricultural sector and beyond.
